Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy
In this course you will learn how to treat patients with prolonged grief disorder (PGD), a recently added DSM5 diagnosis. You will learn about the nature of the grief and the grieving process, what happens when this process is disrupted, and how to conduct prolonged grief therapy, an evidence based treatment with proven efficacy from three large clinical trials. The course was developed by M. Katherine Shear, a nationally recognized expert on the nature and treatment of grief, and is co-sponsored by the Center for Complicated Grief at Columbia University.

This course was developed by Dr. M. Katherine Shear, director of the Center for Complicated Grief at Columbia University School of Social Work, and developer of prolonged grief therapy.
